Take the longer route.

Choose a familiar street and walk it slowly. Leave time for the places between destinations: a corner shop before opening, a reflection after rain, a bright wall at the end of an alley.

Carry one lens if you can. Fewer choices make it easier to notice distance, rhythm, and the edge of the frame.

The point is not to bring home a photograph every time. It is to become a little better at noticing.
